Lisa Edelstein, an American actress who is best recognized for her role in House, a Fox medical drama series. Growing up in Wayne in conservative Jewish tradition, she moved in New York City at the age of eighteen to study theatre at Tisch School of the Arts. The school quickly became a fixture in the scene of clubs in New York. The performances she gave were so impressive that local media took notice. She used both her training in music and fame to make and appear in a musical of her own, Positive Me. She landed her first job at MTV as presenter of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. When the show was over the show, she began appearing on the film and television industry, beginning with small roles, and slowly established her place as an actor.
