Amber Benson, an American producer and singer, also writes. Her most famous role is playing Tara Maclay from the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson is also the director of her own films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and starred as the main actress in these films. Also, she was in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on the 8th of January 1977. She was born in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Benson has a younger sister Danielle, who works as an artist. Her father is Jewish while her mother was raised Southern Baptist Benson grew up at a Reform synagogue located in Alabama. The career of Benson has continued to flourish following the ending of Buffy. She was in films such as The Killing Jar, and shows such as Morganville The Series. Behind the camera Benson utilized her talents as a writer to write her own Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones.
